Use CasesThis plugin was created because a client need to be able to link client profiles with supporting records across apps and spaces. There would sometime have clients that would have profiles for multiple programs and wanted an easy way to link those records together and create a hub for all information. They also needed it to be able to complete process management (steps to assign records to specific people depending on the status or information in the record; must be completed after a record has been saved) before the information was brought back to the original record. Before this they had to copy and paste the information in the HUB record. This really streamlined the process and allowed for less human error.
Later, they needed to have the ability to create multiple profiles at once for things like creating households with multiple members that may or may not all receive different services and be a part of different programs. The all needed to be linked for some programs, but not for all programs. Creating multiples records with considerable shared data was tedious and again left room for error. Updating each profile when that shared data was changed ate up more time leaving little time for the company's employees to perform actual work providing services.
DTC uses it for updating accounts received and accounts payable. It has been tested for inventory as well.
